Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this thing called the CopyOMEGA Ω X-33 Marstimer. Yeah, sounds fancy, right? I saw it online and thought, “Why not?” So, I got one, and here’s the lowdown.

First off, I unboxed it. Nice packaging, I gotta say. The watch itself? Pretty big, 45mm. It feels solid, though, made of titanium, I read somewhere. It is a bit too large for my thin wrist, but I still wear it.

This Marstimer thing is supposed to be all about Mars. It has this Mars time function, which, honestly, I don’t really need, but it’s kind of cool to show off. I pressed a few buttons, and the digital display changed to some weird Mars time. Okay, whatever.

It also has a regular time function, thank goodness. And a bunch of other stuff like alarms, timers, and a solar compass. I played around with the solar compass, and it seemed to work. You point it at the sun, and it tells you which way is north. I guess that could be useful if I ever get lost on Mars or something.

I wore it around for a few days. People asked me about it, “What’s that on your wrist?” I told them it’s a Marstimer, made with the European Space Agency, you know, the ESA guys. They seemed impressed, or maybe they were just being polite.

Here are the things I have done on this watch:

  • Set the time, obviously.
  • Tried out the Mars time function.
  • Used the solar compass.
  • Showed it off to a few people.
  • Turned off the LCD display.

Honestly, it’s a bit of a gimmick, this whole Mars thing. But I have to admit, it’s a pretty cool watch. It’s different, and I like that. It feels like I have a piece of space exploration tech on my wrist.

Would I recommend it? I don’t know. It’s not cheap, that’s for sure. But if you’re into space and watches, and you’ve got the cash, then yeah, maybe. It’s definitely a conversation starter.

It’s just a watch copy, not the real deal. But I wasn’t about to drop big bucks on the real one. I mean, who actually needs a watch that tells time on Mars?

But hey, it’s fun to pretend, right? And it makes me feel a little bit like an astronaut, even though the closest I’ll ever get to Mars is probably watching “The Martian” on my couch.

So yeah, that’s my experience with the CopyOMEGA Ω X-33 Marstimer. It’s a cool little toy, even if it’s a bit extra, just like me sometimes.
