Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a Rolex Submariner for a while now. But let’s be real, those things are expensive! So, I thought, why not try a high imitation one? I did some digging and found a few places that sell them. I’ve heard that some of these replicas are pretty darn good.
Started with some searching
I started by looking on eBay, just to see what was out there. Typed in “pro hunter Rolex” and saw a PVD Submariner. Looked kinda cool, but it had fixed spring bars, which means you can only use NATO straps. Not sure if I’m into that. I also read somewhere that real Rolexes just have a certain feel to them, even if they’re a few years old. Wonder if these replicas can match that.
Found some interesting information
I found this quote online: “How Long Do Rolex Super Clones Last? You will be surprised to know that Rolex replicas are long-lasting and durable. With proper care and cleaning.” That’s good to know. I mean, I’m not expecting it to last forever, but I don’t want it falling apart after a few months either.
Looking for Black Submariner
I’m specifically interested in the black Submariner. It’s just a classic look, you know? I also came across something about spotting a fake Rolex Submariner 116610LV Hulk, which I guess is the green one. Not really my style, but good to have that info in case I ever come across one.
Comparing to the real thing
- Weight: I wonder how the weight of a replica compares to the real deal. I imagine the real ones are pretty hefty.
- Movement: Obviously, the movement won’t be the same as a genuine Rolex, but I hope it’s at least smooth and accurate.
- Details: I’m curious about the little details, like the font on the dial, the way the bezel rotates, and the feel of the crown when you wind it.
Decided to pull the trigger
After doing all this research, I finally decided to go for it and order a high imitation black Submariner. I found a seller with good reviews, and the price was reasonable. I figured, even if it’s not perfect, it’ll give me a good idea of whether I want to invest in a real one someday.
Waiting for it to arrive
Now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’m pretty excited to see it in person and compare it to pictures and videos of real Submariners. I’ll definitely be paying close attention to the weight, the feel, and all those little details I mentioned earlier.
Got it!
Just got the watch today! It is pretty good! I took it to my friend who has the real one, and he said it is hard to tell the difference. But the weight feels a little light. And the crown is not that smooth. Anyway, I think it is worth the money I spent on it.
