Alright, folks, gather ’round. Today, I’m gonna tell you about my little project here – remaking the Yves Saint Laurent YSL June Box Bag, the original order, you know. Now, I ain’t no fancy designer, but I do like to get my hands dirty and make things.
First off, I got to studying this bag. It’s called the June Box Bag, made by that big-shot brand, YSL – you know, the one that folks pay an arm and a leg for. From what I gather, they got all sorts of bags, but this one’s special. It looks like a little box, kinda cute, I guess.
- I started by sketching it out. Got a good look at it online, saw how it was shaped, the size, and all that jazz. It’s a structured design, they say, with a front flap and this fancy YSL thingy that closes it.
- Then, I went to find some materials. I needed some good leather, you know, the sturdy kind. And I found a neat little metal piece that looked just like that YSL logo – score!
- Next up, cutting the leather. I followed my sketch, making sure each piece was just right. Had to be precise, you see. Then, I started stitching. Now, this part took some time. Gotta make sure those stitches are strong and neat.
- Putting it all together was like doing a puzzle. Each piece had to fit just right. I added that YSL closure thingy to the front flap – that was the trickiest part, getting it to pivot just right.
The Doing Part
After a whole lot of cutting, stitching, and fiddling around, I finally got it done. And I gotta say, it looked pretty darn close to the real deal. Not too shabby for an old fella like me, huh?
So, there you have it. That’s the story of my Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL June Box Bag. It was a fun little project, and I learned a thing or two along the way. If you got the itch to make something, I say go for it. It’s a good feeling, making something with your own two hands.
