So, I finally decided to get one of those high imitation Rolex watches, the new Green Submariner. I’ve always liked the look of them, but, you know, a real one? Way out of my league. Heard about these imitation ones, read a bunch of stuff online, and figured, why not?
I went for the green one, the Submariner. Classic, right? It wasn’t dirt cheap, but compared to a real Rolex, it was like pocket change. Found a store online, it’s not like going to a real Rolex shop, more like browsing a regular online store. Anyway, they had a bunch of pictures, looked pretty good in them, so I placed my order.
Waited a few days, felt like forever. Finally, the package arrived. Ripped it open, and there it was, shiny and new. It’s got some weight to it, feels solid in your hand, not like those cheap, plastic knockoffs. Put it on, and honestly, it looks pretty darn good on my wrist.
- First thing I did was look at the details. The green color, it’s not exactly like the real one, but it’s close. A real one has this special kind of shine, this one’s a bit different, but still nice.
- Checked the markings, the crown logo, the numbers. They’re all there, pretty much where they should be. Not perfect, but you’d have to look real close to notice the differences.
- The movement, it’s automatic, like a real Rolex. Winds itself when I move my arm. Keeps time pretty well, too. I mean, I’m not timing any races or anything, but it’s good enough for daily wear.
Wore it out a few times, got a couple of compliments. Nobody’s called me out on it being a fake or anything. Most people just see it and think, “Oh, nice watch.” A couple of guys who are into watches looked a bit closer, asked a few questions, but I just played it cool, you know? Didn’t lie, but didn’t tell them it was a high imitation either.
Been wearing it for a while now, and I gotta say, I’m pretty happy with it.
It’s like having a little piece of that luxury, without, you know, actually having to spend a fortune. It’s a bit of a conversation starter, too. People notice it, ask about it. It’s fun. It’s like I’m part of a secret club or something. We know it’s not real, but we also know it looks good, and that’s what matters, right?
Of course, it’s not the same as having a real Rolex. I know that. But for me, it’s close enough. It’s a nice watch, it looks good, and it didn’t break the bank. And honestly, that’s all I really wanted. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, these high imitation Rolex watches, and now I get it. They’re not just cheap knockoffs. They’re something else. Something in between. I’d say it was worth it. Feels good, looks good. That’s a win in my book.
