Alright, guys, so I’ve been messing around with this whole CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Super Racing thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I wanted to get my hands on one of these bad boys, but I wasn’t sure where to start. You know how it is, sometimes you just gotta have that shiny new toy.
First, I did a bunch of digging online. I mean, who doesn’t these days, right? I was trying to figure out the best place to snag one of these watches. And man, there’s a lot of chatter about these Speedmasters. Seems like they’re pretty popular. People are saying that because these Omega watches are so wanted, the prices have been going way up. They have increased over 10% over the last 18 months, it’s crazy!
One thing I found out is that you gotta check out the “Specialty Stores.” Apparently, that’s where the real deal ones are at. I wasn’t about to get scammed with some knock-off. I mean, if you’re gonna do it, you gotta do it right, yeah?
So, I started calling around these specialty stores. Some of them had them, some didn’t. It was a bit of a hunt, to be honest. But eventually, I found a store that had the 44.25 mm Speedmaster Super Racing in stock. This thing is the first watch to have that Spirate System. Something about fine-tuning. Sounds fancy, huh?
Next, I went down to the store to check it out in person. And the sales guy, he was telling me all about how to use it. He was saying, “The OMEGA Speedmaster is easy to use if you understand its core functions.” Like, yeah, no kidding, it’s a watch. It tells time, right? But he was going on about the chronograph and how it’s used for all sorts of stuff, like racing or whatever. But to be fair, I might use it if I go on a road trip.
- Getting Serious: If I’m dropping some serious cash, I want the real deal, so I found a store that had the Speedmaster Super Racing.
- Checking It Out: Went to the store, the sales guy gave me the rundown on how to use it, which was kind of obvious, but hey, he tried.
- Looking Inside: He also showed me the inside of the watch and pointed out where to find the reference number.
Then he started talking about how to tell if it’s a real Omega or not. You gotta look inside the case-back for the Reference Number, and check the movement for the eight-digit serial number. “If you are new to Speedmasters – especially if you are new to vintage watches,” he said. You know, like a real pro. Seemed a bit overkill to me.
Anyway, after all that, I decided to pull the trigger and bought the darn thing. It’s a pretty sweet watch, I gotta say. It’s got all these little hands, just like a regular clock. One for the hours, one for the minutes. You know, the usual stuff.
The Aftermath
Now that I have this Speedmaster Super Racing, I’ve been wearing it around, showing it off a bit. I even caught a few people talking about it. I overheard some guys saying, “I heard them talkin’ about how this Speedmaster Super Racing is better than the old Speedmaster Racing. Faster, or somethin’. Like you need a watch to go fast.” I just chuckled to myself. Whatever, man, it’s a cool watch, and that’s all that matters.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Super Racing. If you’re thinking about getting one, just make sure you go to a legit place, and be prepared to do a bit of searching. It’s worth it in the end, though. Trust me.
